Baby found dead in Sherpur pond
Police recovered dead body of a baby from a pond in Sreebardi upazila of Sherpur on Thursday evening (December 5).
According to police, locals informed police after seeing a baby’s body floating in a pond at Ganginapara Mahalla under North Bazar area of Sreebardi municipality.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sreebardi Police Station Mohammad Ruhul Amin Talukder told Banglanews: “The dead body of the newborn, after recovery, was sent to the morgue for autopsy. An Unnatural Death (UD) case was filed with the police station in this regard. The next steps await autopsy report.”
