Another physician dies of coronavirus
The third physician passed away of coronavirus at a city hospital at early hours on Wednesday.
Deceased physician Prof Major (retd) Abul Mokarim M Mohsin Uddin was the head of Radiology dept of Ibn Sina Hospital in the administrative centre.
Ibn Sina Hospital's senior assiatant manager Asrarul Aziz advised media that Dr Abul Mokarim died at Dhaka CMH around 12:20am.
"The physician with COVID-19 positive had been admitted to his hospital 10 days ago. He was shifted to the CMH four days before for ICU support. Two of his family members have also tested positive for the virus," he added.
Previously April 15, Dr Moin Uddin, an assistant professor of Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital, died of coronavirus while eminent haematologist and laboratory medicine professional Professor Col (Retd) Md Moniruzzaman died on, may 3.
