AL mayor candidates for election to 64 municipalities to be finalised Saturday
The possible set of Awami League mayoral applicants for election in 64 pourasavas (municipalities) beneath the third phase is likely to be finalised on Saturday.
The list may very well be finalised at a gathering of Awami League (AL) MUNICIPALITY Open public Representative Nomination Board which is kept at the Prime Minister's official Ganabhaban residence in the administrative centre at 4pm.
President of AL Local Government Public Representative Nomination Panel and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina might preside over the appointment, said a press release
signed by AL business office secretary Barrister Biplob Barua.
Awami League Standard Secretary Obaidul Quader requested all concerned to wait the meeting with time maintaining health safety recommendations.
The election to 64 pourasavas beneath the third phase is scheduled to be held on January 30. Since Sunday, the Awami League offers started selling nomination varieties among the interested party candidates. The last day for submitting the nomination forms is December 31.
