Freedom fighter, columnist Bakhtiar Uddin Chowdhury dies
Freedom fighter, political analyst and noted columnist Bakhtiar Uddin Chowdhury passed on early Friday at the age of 72, reports UNB.

He breathed his previous at BIRDEM Hospital in the administrative centre at 2:15am.

He had been experiencing diabetes and kidney disease.

Bakhtiar Uddin was pronounced dead just after he had been taken to the hospital early today as his condition suddenly deteriorated.

He was laid to rest at his family graveyard found in Nangalmora village of Chattogram's Hathazari Upazila around 4:30pm.

Bakhtiar Uddin Chowdhury was created on August 17, 1948, in Hathazari. He left behind his wife, two sons, a girl, and grandchildren.

For the past two decades, he had been a normal contributor to various national dailies and online portals writing on political and international affairs.
