88 new coronavirus cases detected in Rajshahi division
A total of just one 1,050 persons have up to now been infected with the deadly COVID-19 in Rajshahi division as 88 more new cases were detected in five districts on Tuesday.

Dr. Gopendra Nath Acharya, Divisional Director of Health confirmed it while inserting a COVID-19 quarantine and isolation related daily report in Rajshahi division on Wednesday morning.

He said with the newly detected cases, the district-wise break-up of reported COVID-19 cases now stood at 61 in Rajshahi, 54 in Chapainawabganj, 132 in Naogaon, 58 in Natore, 189 in Joypurhat, 449 in Bogura, 58 in Sirajganj and 49 in Pabna.

Following confirmation of new COVID-19 cases, the respective houses of the infected persons in various areas in the division were located on 14-day lockdown.

Dr Gopen said the whereabouts of the persons, who came in touch with COVID-19 patients, were taken to notice plus they were asked to stay in home isolation in order that the virus cannot spread further.

Of the total infected patients, 253 have, up to now, recovered from the deadly disease with nine fatalities in the division till Wednesday morning.
