6 coaching centres sealed off in city
A mobile court sealed off six coaching centers in the capital, as owners of those have been running the business flouting the government’s ban during the ongoing Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations.
The drive led by executive magistrate Sarwar Alam of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) was carried out in city’s Farmgate and Dhanmondi areas on Sunday (February 10).
The court also fined 18 owners as well as awarded punishment in different terms.
The government issued a directive asking all owners of coaching centers across the country to shut their businesses down from January 27 to February 27.
The directive was issued to prevent question paper leakage during the SSC exams.
