Holey Artisan attack case: Charge-sheeted accused held
Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested a charge-sheeted accused in Holey Artisan attack case from Board Bazar area of Gazipur early Sunday.
Commander Mufti Mahmud Khan, director of RAB's legal and media wing, said on secret information, a team of elite force conducted a drive in the area around 1am and nabbed Md Mamunur Rashid alias Ripon, also a members of Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB).
They also seized over Tk 1 lakh from his possessions.
On July 1, 2016, armed militants stormed the Holey Artisan Bakery in Dhaka's Gulshan area and killed 20 hostages, mostly foreign nationals.
Two police officials were also killed during the 12-hour standoff.
