5 killed in Gopalganj private car plunge
An exclusive car has veered off the street and plunged into a ditch in Muksudpur of Gopalganj claiming five lives.
The accident happened on Dhaka-Barishal highway at around 3: pm on Sunday (March 1).
Abul Bashar, inspector of Sindiaghat Marine Police Outpost under Maksudpur Police Station, confirmed the problem to Banglanews, but cannot identify the deceased immediately after the accident.
The private car fell into a roadside ditch after bumping right into a tree, leading to catching fire. Firefighters of Maksudpur reached the location and extinguished the fire. The casualties were recovered with assistance distributed by locals, said Abul Bashar.
