4 get life term for killing Ctg businessman
A Chittagong court on Tuesday (September 18) sentenced four persons to life term imprisonment in a case filed over hacking a businessman to death.
The convicts are—Azim Uddin, Shahadat Hossain, Mizanur Rahman and Shahabuddin.
Azim is now behind the bars while the three others have been absconding.
The court of Acting Second Additional District & Sessions Judge Md Shahadat Hossain Bhuiyan passed the order.
District Public Prosecutor (PP) Advocate AKM Sirajul Islam confirmed the matter to Banglanews.
Court sources said one Joynal Abedin, a breakage trader in Mirsharai upazila, was hacked to death on January 13, 2009. His son Anwar Hossain filed a case with Mirsharai Police Station, over the incident.
