13-yr-old girl raped in Ctg, mob beat up suspect
Mob beat up a man accused of raping a 13-year-old girl in Motijharna area of Lalkhan Bazar in Chittagong on Sunday noon (September 2).
The alleged rapist, identified as Harun-ur-Rashid, 45, a vegetable seller, was handed over to police after mass beating. On the other hand, the victim was admitted to Chittagong Medical College and Hospital.
It has been known that Rashid gave a sedative-mixed chocolate to the girl to make her unconscious and raped her in a nearest garage. Later locals rescued the girl to CMCH as she lost too much blood.
Khulshi police station inspector (probe) Mahibur Rahman told Banglanews that the rapist is now in police custody and legal action is being taken over the incident.
