31 home-made bombs neutralized, two held at Uttara
Police have deactivated 31 home-made bombs recovered from an under-construction building found in the city's Uttara spot.

Police as well as detained-Sumon and Mamun, citizens of Turag Law enforcement Station area, found in this connection.

Earlier, participants of Detective Branch (DB) of Law enforcement and Uttara (West) Law enforcement Station cordoned off the construction on Road 13, Sector 10 in Uttara at about 4:30pm.

Later, a bomb disposal workforce entered the construction and defused the bombs.

DB’s deputy commissioner Kazi Shafiqul Alam said they arrested several people who kept the bombs at the construction.

During initial interrogation, both of the detainees had been identified since Jubo Dal leaders, this individual added.

A police source said 4 bombs were blasted in the area on your day of Dhaka-18 by-polls. Lots of people had been arrested over the incident, studies a Bangla news portal.

Acting on information distributed by the arrested people, some unexploded bombs have already been recovered from Kamarpara place, the sources added.

Police suspect the unexploded bombs were supposed to be applied to the by-election day.
