3 killed, various injured in Daudkandi bus fire
At least three persons were killed and 15 others injured after a passenger bus caught fire in Gouripur area of Daudkandi upazila of Cumilla.
The Matlab-bound bus of Matlab Express from Dhaka caught fire when it reached close to Gouripur bus stand on the Dhaka-Chattogram Highway on Thursday evening.
The identities of the deceased cannot be known immediately.
Of the harmed, nine persons are undergoing treatment at the burn unit of a medical center in the capital while 11 others are acquiring treatment at Gouripur Upazila Well being Complex.
Daudkandi Highway police station OC Jahirul Huq said initiatives were underway to get the problem under control.
