3 killed in Rupnagar bus-leguna collision
Three persons including a minor were killed as a bus collided with a leguna in Rupnagar area of Mirpur in city early Tuesday (July 17).
Two of the deceased were identified as—Hannan, the leguna driver and Towhid, 10.
Several others were injured.
A bus of ‘Mayer Doa Paribahan’ collided with the leguna, a local human hauler, in Birulia Beribandh area of Rupnagar, leaving several injured around 8:30am, Rupnagar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Sheikh Md Shah Alam told Banglanews.
Four of the injured were whisked-off to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), where the on-duty physician pronounced three dead.
Another one is undergoing treatment.
Besides, several injured were taken to a few local hospitals for treatment.
However, the bodies were kept at the DMCH morgue for autopsies.
