Bridge collapse halts Dhaka's road link with Barishal
Dhaka's road communication with Barishal, country's south-central district, remained suspended since early Tuesday after the Bailey bridge collapsed in Enna area of Gaurnadi upazila in Barishal.
According to locals, the incident took place when an overloaded truck was passing through the bridge, snapping the communication of several southern districts with the capital, reports UNB.
However, the repair work has begun immediately after the incident and was underway during filing of this report.
