2 bombs recovered in city
Police recovered two bombs from city’s Paltan and Tejgaon areas.
At Paltan, a bomb was found wrapped in a bag around 9:30 pm. Later, policemen encircled the area. The bomb disposal unit defused the bomb at a later part of night, Shahbagh Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abul Hasan told Banglanews.
Meanwhile, a bomb was spotted at a traffic police box near Khamarbari intersection at night. Later, the bomb disposal unit went to the spot and defused it around 4 am on Wednesday (July 24). A loud sound occurred at that time, said Shamimur Rashid Talukder, OC of Tejgaon Police Station.
