'Yaas' becomes cyclone, signal 2 issued
The maritime ports of Chattogram, Cox's Bazar, Mongla and Payra were advised to hoist distant warning signal No 2 on Monday instead of cautionary No 1 as the unhappiness over the Southeast Bay and adjoining Andaman Ocean intensified into cyclonic storm 'Yass'.

The depression over East-Central Bay and adjoining area moved north-westwards and intensified right into a cyclonic storm 'Yass' over the same area.

In a particular weather bulletin, the Met Office explained at 6 am today, it had been about 775 kms south-southwest of Chattogram slot, 605 km south-southwest of Cox's Bazar port, 650 km south of Mongla slot and 605 km south of Payra port.

Chances are to intensify further and move around in a north-northwesterly direction.

The utmost sustained wind speed within 54 kms of the deep despair centre is about 62 KPH growing to 88 KPH in gusts or squalls, the bulletin said.

The sea will stay very rough near to the depression centre.

Most the fishing boats for sale and trawlers over the North Bay and deep ocean have already been advised to remain close to the coastline and proceed with caution. They were also advised not to venture in to the deep sea.
