Women among 6 drug traders held in city
Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in separate drives detained six drug traders from Uttara and Jatrabari areas of the capital on Wednesday.
Detainees are Shamsul Alam, Rafiqul Islam, Yesmin Akter, Kawsar Moni, Monwar Hossain and Momin Mia.
RAB-10 deputy director Major General Shahriar Ziaur Rahman, deputy company commander Ali Reza Rabi and squad commander ASP Asaduzzaman along with RAB members conducted the drives and detained them.
The RAB members also recovered 4,260 Yaba tablets and seized a motorcycle and six mobile phone sets from their possessions.
However, cases were filed against them with the concerned police stations under the Narcotics Control Act, our correspondent said.
