Woman's slaughtered body recovered
Members of police recovered the slaughtered body of a woman beside her house in Jahangirpur village in Shreepur upazila of Gazipur on Sunday.
Deceased Jannat, 21, was the wife of Al Amin.
The victim's brother Roman said Jannat divorced his first husband two years ago. Later, he married to Al Amin whom she loved.
She came to his father's house on December 30, 2018, and went back to her house with Al Amin the next day. But Jannat's family members could not contact with her after that as her mobile phone was switched off.
Being informed by local people, police recovered the body beside Jannat's house. Her neck and tendons were cut off, said Shreepur Police Station SI Shahidul Haque.
The body was sent to Gazipur Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Medicle College Hospital morgue.
The victim's husband Al Amin went into hiding after the incident.
