Water transport workers' strike begins
Water transport workers' strike for an indefinite period began in the wee hours of Saturday to press home their 11-point demands. 

Bangladesh Water Transport Workers Federation (BWTWF) called the strike on Friday.

Water transport services in 43 routes of the country's Southern part remained halted.

Shah Alam Bhuiyan, president of Bangladesh Water Transport Workers' Federation, said this is the third time they are going on strike.

The demands include giving appointment letter and food allowance.
