VNSC students began demo demanding release of class teacher
The students of Viqarunnisa Noon School and College again started demonstration on Saturday demanding release of detained class IX class teacher Hasna Hena.
A group of students took position in front of the institution at Bailey Road in Dhaka around 11am with poster-playcard.
One of the agitating students said they will boycott their classes from Sunday if teacher Hasna Hena will not be released.
Earlier on Thursday, a Dhaka court sent Hasna Hena to jail in a case for provoking a student to commit suicide.
Detectives arrested Hasna Hena from a hotel in city’s Uttara area on Wednesday night.
Aritree Adhikari, a Class-IX student, reportedly committed suicide at their Shantinagar residence in the city on December 3 after allegedly being rebuked by teachers for using mobile phone during examination.
Victim's father Dilip Adhikari filed a case against the three teachers of the school.
