Visually impaired job-seekers go on fast unto death
Visually impaired job-seekers on Wednesday went on fast unto death to press home their six-point demand, including recruiting them in government, autonomous, semi-autonomous and private jobs in special system. 

In the banner of job-seekers visually impaired graduate parishad, they began their strike by blocking a part of Manik Mia Avenue around 9:00am.

Earlier from July 7 to 9, they observed sit-in programme in front of Jatiya Press Club with the same demands.

Their rest demands are: appointing eligible visually impaired persons in resources teacher post of Bangladesh Public Service Commission by cancelling recruitment circular for the same, giving assurance of following shorthand writer policy of Dhaka University in recruitment test, and giving them monthly allowance Tk 10,000 until they join any job after obtaining honours degree.
