On Saturday, President Donald Trump donned a face mask in open public for the very first time, finally yielding to strong pressure to create a public health example.
Trump had on a good dark mask featuring the presidential seal seeing that he walked through Walter Reed military hospital outside Washington to meet up with wounded veterans.
News reviews this week said aides practically begged the president to relent and wear a good mask in public areas - and let himself be photographed - as coronavirus conditions soar in a few states.
They include Florida, where Disney World on Saturday reopened two of its four Orlando theme parks, even while the state reported 10,360 new infections and 95 deaths.
Saturday's visitors had reserved their tickets beforehand, allowing Disney to regulate the number of men and women in the park and accommodate for social distancing.
Visitors were necessary to undergo temp checks, and side sanitiser was accessible.
Disney said it was enforcing public distancing of six ft (two meters) at sights and inside shops. - AFP
