UN ESCAP to stand by Bangladesh in any necessity
Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) Armida Salsiah Alisjahbana said they would stand by Bangladesh in any necessity.
Planning Minister MA Mannan paid a courtesy call on Armida Salsiah Alisjahbana at UN ESCAP headquarters in Bangkok on Tuesday (May 28).
The issues for example: skill development, communication and trade expansion were discussed during the meeting.
ESCAP Executive Secretary expressed her willingness to work on these issues in cooperation with Bangladesh.
MA Mannan said: “We are dealing with fundamental issues like poverty alleviation, health, education, safe drinking water. We will continue sorting out these problems even if on one provides aid in these sectors.”
MA Mannan said ESCAP assured of help in this regard.
