Turkey arrests 200 as May Day protests grip world
Turkish police have arrested a lot more than 200 persons for holding unauthorized protests on May Day, which includes seen rallies across the world despite the continued spread of Covid-19.

The protesters in Turkey's major city, Istanbul, were caught breaching restrictions imposed to curb a third wave of coronavirus.

Marches led by personnel and unions are held on 1 May each year within International Labor Day celebrations in lots of countries.

This season, the rallies occurred once again against the backdrop of a pandemic which has destroyed livelihoods and upended economies worldwide.

In lots of countries, police were deployed in large numbers to manage possible disorder and ensure coronavirus restrictions were observed.

Scaled-back rallies were held in Germany, Russia, Spain, Sweden, the UK, Cuba, Colombia, the Philippines, Indonesia and several other countries. Most demonstrations were peaceful.
