They loot belongings spraying burning mists on victims' faces
Several thugs usually become very active to rob off persons adopting various tactics whenever Eid approaches.
They adopt the tactics to rob persons off by brandishing knives, holding firearms, putting burning sensation ointment on people's eyes or making them unconscious forcing them to adulterated drinks.
Such six miscreants have already been arrested by Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in the administrative centre.
They were arrested carrying out a raid at Tejgaon Rail Crossing area in Dhaka on Thursday night.
RAB said the criminals used to rob shoppers off staying close to the stores or markets in the capital.
The arrested were identified as Rubel, Ujjal Sarker, Saddam Hosayn, Jalil Mia, Rana Sheikh and Belal Hossain.
Deputy Commander of RAB-2 Major HM Parvez Arefin confirmed journalists about the arrest of the culprits.
He said the culprits used to spray burning sensation liquid on the face of their target following them from behind. When the victim start feeling burning sensation, they have a tendency to rob almost all their belongings off including cash.
The culprits usually became very active in the evening taking positions at different places near to the large markets or shopping malls.
