The Bangladesh Monitor celebrates 28th anniversary
The Bangladesh Monitor, a premier English fortnightly of the country on travel trade celebrated its 29th anniversary today, September 28 at its corporate head office in the capital.
Kazi Wahidul Alam, Editor, The Bangladesh Monitor exchanged greetings with various representatives of travel trade organisations, readers and journalists who attended the event. The ceremony was followed by a cake cutting session to celebrate the milestone achievement.
“It is a great achievement and a matter of great pride for us. It is not easy to run a specialised fortnightly like Monitor for such a long period of time without any interruption. Behind this success lie the hard work and dedication of every employee of the organisation. I thank and congratulate them from my heart,” said Kazi Wahidul Alam.
“We hope to continue our efforts for the betterment of the travel industry with positive and constructive writings that we have been doing over the last 28 years.”
Founded in 1991, The Bangladesh Monitor has been organising seminars, roundtable conferences and other events on various issues of the travel industry. The fortnightly is the pioneer in introducing the popular travel fair – Travel Mart, culinary talent hunt competition – Shera Randhanshilpi and frequent flyers’ opinion poll – Airline of the Year among others.
