Thailand considers four-stage reopening from April
Thailand is eyeing a four-phase reopening starting from April this year, with leisure of quarantine guidelines for arrivals. However, the country may not totally reopen to foreign travelers till January 2022, in line with the latest recovery method proposed by Thailand’s Ministry of Tourism and Activities.

The recovery plan includes four reopening stages you start with the “Wellness Leisure area Q and Resort Q” scheduled to start out on April 1 and to continue to the finish of May. Under this most up-to-date proposal, tourists from UAE, Israel, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, India and Russia residing in five provinces will be eligible for relaxed quarantine guidelines. The five provinces that are eligible for eased quarantine guidelines are Phuket, Krabi, Surat Thani (Samui, Tao and Phangan islands) Chonburi (Pattaya), and Chiang Mai.

Also, groups of someone to four travelers must stay static in their room for the earliest three days, and they will be permitted to access hotel facilities from the fourth day before rest of the quarantine period.

Currently, tourists residing in quarantine are given limited access (around one hour per day) for some of the hotel facilities soon after their initially negative COVID-19 test conducted in the fourth day. Usage of more activities and conveniences are allowed following the second COVID-19 check on the twelve evening.

Period 1: April and May

In this phase, tourists can enjoy health facilities, swim and continue routine rides in the lands. Tourists are also permitted to consume food delivered from beyond your hotels.

Phase 2: June to September

In this phase, visitors will be allowed usage of an exclusive travel area or “seal route” while doing Spot Quarantine for 10 times. Once they completed their quarantine, they are able to travel any place in Thailand.

The plan is to have Area Quarantine in Phuket, Pattaya, Krabi, Chiang Mai, Surat Thani (Khon Tao, Koh Samui and Koh Phangan), Phangnga and Bangkok.

Stage 3: October to December

Also known as the “Sand Box” reopening phase, this phase will have seven specified tourism provinces that are largely by the sea where tourists that completed vaccination must test negative and stay static in quarantine for a day. Moreover, the requirement Certificate of Entry document will be replaced by a vaccine certificate.

Phase 4: January 2022 onwards

This phase will see the “Sand Box” reopening phase all throughout the country. Also, tourists will be able to come for a stay of 45 times (up from the prior 30) or utilise Specialized Tourist Visas, Yacht Quarantine or Elite cards.
