Symbol allocated for RCC election candidates
In the Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) elections, at least 217 candidates are contesting. Of these 5 candidates are for Mayor, 160 to fight for general council posts and 52 for reserved women councilor posts.

Symbols have been allocated among the candidates for the Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) elections around at 9am on Tuesday. 

The symbols of the candidates were given in the returning officer's office. 

Announcing the election manifesto, Awami League mayor candidate AHM Khairuzzaman Liton and BNP nominated candidate Mosaddek Hossain Bulbul started campaigning for the election. 

Returning Officer Amirul Islam said, firstly, symbols were given among female candidates of reserved seats. After distributing for the mayor's post, and after this, the candidates of general councilors were given the symbol. Those who wanted the same symbol, have been given symbols through lottery.

Among the mayoral candidates, Awami League nominated AHM Khairuzzaman Liton has been given `Nawka’ symbol, BNP nominated candidate Mosaddek Hossain Bulbul `Dhan er Sheesh’ symbol, Bangladesh Jatiya Party (Matin) Habibur Rahman Habib has been given `Kathal’, Shariful Islam of Islamic Movement Hatpakhha, and Unique Murad Morshed elephant symbol has been allocated.

After the symbol allocation, the party candidates started campaigning in the city with  poster, banner and festoon. Especially due to the determination of the party candidates, they have kept the printing work in advance. Many people started hanging the brochures since 12pm on Monday.

Liton announced the election manifesto by a press conference in the party's office on Tuesday noon. In the 14th declaration, Rajshahi pledged to reduce the mega city average by emphasizing education and health care, including the commitment of the system of one lakh people's employment.

At this time, Liton said, "We will build Rajshahi as a developed and prosperous modern metropolis in the northern and northern parts of the country.

On the other hand, BNP's nominated mayor candidate Mosaddek Hossain Bulbul, who was in the election campaign from Shahmkhdum (R), visited the shrine. 

In RCC elections, 30 general wards and reserved women wards 10. Total voting centers 138, 3,18,138 voters, as male voters are 1,56,585 and female voters 1,662 thousand 53 people. The vote will be received on 30 July.
