Sylhet road accident leaves 5 dead
Four members of a family among five were killed in a road accident in Jaintapur upazila of Sylhet city on Sunday morning.

Two others were also injured in the accident that occurred at Ferighat at about 6:45am.

The deceased were determined as Sabia Begum, 40, her daughter Sakia Begum, 4, her three-month-old son Tahmid Hossain, sister Habibun Nesha, 38, and the CNG auto-rickshaw driver Hossain Ahmed, 35. 

Injured Sabia Begum's brother-in-law Zakaria Ahmed and his wife Hasina Begum are undergoing treatment at Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital.

Police said a stone-laden truck smashed an auto-rickshaw, carrying the family members, in the area after its driver lost control over the steering, leaving five dead on the scene.
