Suzana returns to acting after two-year hiatus break
For Sumaiya Jafar Suzana acting is her passion and love from the beginning of her career. As a result, acting did not become her profession till now.
Only for the viewers' interest she acted in good story based works. Suzana was last seen to act in Iftekhar Ahmed Fahmee-directed play titled Sorry in June, 2017. This popular actress worked together with Shahiduzzaman Selim, Sumaiya Shimu and Ziaul Faruk Apurba in that play for the first time.
Shahriar Shakil produced that play. Under same producer's production Suzana has returned to acting after a break. She acted in Eid special play titled 'Thako Megh Hoye'. Under Mahmudur Rahman Himi's direction, Suzana started shooting of the Eid play yesterday. She is acting in role of Labonno against Irfan Sajjad.
While talking about returning to acting through this play after a break Suzana said, "I last worked in Alpha-i's production. This production house always tries to select good stories to make play. I have liked the story of 'Thako Megh Hoye'. It is my first work with director Himi. He works in organized way. His unit is also organized. As my co-actor, Irfan Sajjad is also nice.
For this reason, I am enjoying working in this play. In fact, it is really difficult for me to give more time to my boutique house, Suzana's Closet in and outside the country so I cannot manage time for acting. I think if I do two works in parallel way I cannot become successful. So, last two years I gave time only for my boutique house. Acting is my love and passion. Only for the viewers' love I sometimes act in good story based works. I think Himi's play is also exceptional one."
Director Himi informed that the play Thako Megh Hoye will be aired on RTV. Meanwhile, situated in the capital's Banani area Suzana Closet has already got commercially accomplishment. Suzana's own designs wears have created hype among the fashion-lovers. Suzana is satisfied in this regard, she added.
Suzana also mentioned that she herself collects maximum clothes from Dubai and Delhi and then designs the wearing items. She is expected to act in another play of Abu Hayat Mahmud on the occasion of Eid. However, she also performed as model in Balam's video song.
