'Sultan' to hit theaters in Bangladesh on July 6
Featuring Bangladeshi actress Bidya Sinha Mim and Tollywood heartthrob Jeet, 'Sultan The Saviour' will hit the theaters in Bangladesh on July 6. The movie, due to be released this Eid in Bangladesh and India simultaneously, got stuck in Bangladesh after a recent High Court ruling that banned the release of imported or co-production films during Eid and Bengali new year.

However, the film was released only in India during Eid. At first the movie was supposed to be an Indo-Bangla co-production but later on it was jointly produced by India's Jeet Film Works and Surinder Films. Jaaz Multimedia is importing and distributing the film in Bangladesh under the South Asian Free Trade Area (Safta) treaty.

Jaaz Multimedia recently confirmed that the Information Ministry has cleared its release in Bangladesh and they are scheduled for a countrywide release as soon as they get its censor certificate. The film, directed by Kolkata filmmaker Raja Chanda, also stars Bangladesh's Taskeen Rahman and India's Mukul Dev and Priyanka Sarkar in the lead roles.
