Siam features in flaming first teaser of 'Dohon'
After many casting controversies, Siam Ahmed, Puja Chery, and Zakiya Bari Mamo starring in 'Dohon,' has released its first official teaser on YouTube on Saturday. The 40-second-long first look features its lead actor Siam stopping a burning tyre. He stops the rolling tyre caught on fire and calmly lights his cigarette from it.
The teaser was released on the film's production company Jaaz Multimedia's official YouTube channel and Facebook page. The first teaser ad of the film, directed by Raihan Rafi, went viral within the first 24 hours of its release and received more than 500,000 views.
Siam plays a young drug addict and Puja plays a garments worker. Zakiya Bari Mamo plays a reporter in the action thriller, according to a recent press statement by Jaaz Multimedia. Siam said in the statement: "The character I play in the film is named Tula. People call him 'Harami Tula.' I worked very hard for this project and tried to become the character. The audience will get to see a very different Siam in this film. I tried very hard to make this perfect."
Previously, many controversies hit the project as actors were leaving the project one after another. At first, model and actor Azmeri Haque Badhon signed for the role of the reporter but left the project saying the sudden change of production dates for the film clashed with other projects she had already signed up for.
Then popular actor Dilara Hanif Purnima signed up for the same role and later on she also left the project complaining about bad press. Finally, at the end of June Mamo signed for the role and completed the production of the project.
