Shruti Haasan to play a journalist in her next
Shruti Haasan is pleased with just how her career is certainly going. In an interview this past year, the actress/ singer had admitted that after years, she was finally content with the projects coming her way. She was last seen in Vakeel Saab, which received reviews that are positive and was a remake of the Taapsee Pannu-Amitabh Bachchan starrer Pink. Starring Pawan Kalyan, the film was appreciated by critics and audiences alike. Apart from that, Shruti was also seen in the Telugu hit Krack opposite Ravi Teja.

The actress has been signed for 'Salaar' opposite Prabhas and can reportedly be playing a political journalist in the action flick. To be directed by Kannada filmmaker Prashant Neel, it had been reported that Disha Patani was formerly approached for the film, but talks fell through. The film will continue its shoot in Hyderabad the following month where massive sets have already been erected. Given the precarious pandemic situation in the united states, the film is only going to release in April next year. Shruti, who's known for her refreshingly candid posts on social media, admitted within an interview that living along through the lockdown this past year had taught her lots of things. The actress said that although she was in the beginning apprehensive about living alone, she soon started enjoying her own company.
