Shovon made BCL President, Golam Rabbani General Secretary
The central executive committee of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), the student wing of ruling Bangladesh Awami League (AL), has been announced.
Rezwanul Haque Chowdhury Shovon has been made president while Golam Rabbani general secretary.
Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader made the announcement on behalf of the party president on Tuesday.
Quader, also road transport and bridges minister, declared separate committees for north and south units of Dhaka city and the Dhaka University unit.
Saddam Hossain was made the president while Sanjit Chandra Das, the general secretary of DU unit of BCL.
AL president and prime minister Sheikh Hasina has approved the new committees for the next two years.
The 29th council of the BCL was held on 11-12 May.
