Russian COVID-19 cases exceed 30,000 with daily record rise
Russia has registered a good daily record of 4,070 COVID-19 conditions during the last 24 time, with the full total number reaching 32,008 by Friday, official data showed.

The death toll climbed to 273 from 232 the prior day, while 2,590 persons have recovered, including 286 within the last a day, Russia's coronavirus response center said in a statement.

The Altai Republic confirmed its first case, meaning the pandemic has spread to all of Russia's 85 regions.

Moscow, the worst-hit metropolis across the country, confirmed 1,959 new cases during the last 24 hours, reporting 18,105 conditions so far.

The peak of infections in Moscow is likely to occur within the next several weeks, the city's deputy mayor Anastasia Rakova said in a video address to medical workers.

She also said that the number of people dealing with the coronavirus is rising and she hopes the great trend will strengthen.

Russia announced it has the first two COVID-19 cases on Jan. 31, with cases increasing drastically because the end of March. The total number topped 10,000 on April 9 and 20,000 on April 14.

A Chinese medical team has been employed in Russia since April 11 to aid in the fight COVID-19.

All Russians, except those doing work for essential institutions and establishments, are on paid keep from March 30 till April 30 as part of the country's efforts to contain the spread of the virus.
