Rohingyas being incited to stay: FM
Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen said Rohingyas were being prompted to reside in Bangladesh.
Dr AK Abdul Momen told reporters after attending the closing ceremony of an international conference titled 'Rohingya Crisis in Bangladesh: Challenges and Sustainable Solutions' at North South University in the capital on Sunday (July 28)
After the conference, the minister said: “There are some organizations or companies--they want the Rohingyas to stay here--so that they can reap benefits. They are encouraging or inciting Rohingyas to stay here.”
In reply to a question, the Foreign Minister said that the problem would not be resolved unless Rohingyas return to their own country. You have to understand that there are many Muslims living in Myanmar too. Rohingyas are now making various demands. If they stay here, their future will be ruined, children's education will be ruined as well their future. However, we will make decisions in this regard. We want to send them back as soon as their security is guaranteed.
