'Rohingya top terror' killed in gunfight
A 'Rohingya listed criminal' was killed in a shootout with police at Jadimura refugee camp in Teknaf upazila of Cox's Bazar early Sunday. 

Police said, deceased Nur Mohammad, 34, was a listed criminal. He took the national ID as Noor Alam.

Nur was an accused in Jubo League leader Omar Faruque killing case, Teknaf Police Station officer in-charge Pradip Kumar Das confirmed.

Acting on secret information, a team of the law enforcers raided the camp at early hours where Nur was staying.

Sensing presence of the team, the criminals opened fire on the police, forcing them to fire back.

Later, bullet-hit Nur was found on the scene, the OC said.

He was rushed to Teknaf Upazila Health Complex where the on-duty doctors declared him dead, physician of the hospital Shangkar Chandra Dev Nath said. 

A large number of arms were recovered from the scene, the OC said, adding that Nur was also accused in number of cases, including of drugs and murder.
