Rape accused held in Jatrabari
Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) conducted a drive and detained a rape accused from Jatrabari area of the capital city Tuesday (August 8) night.
Mizanur Rahman Rocky, 42, was nabbed from Matuail area around 10:30pm, RAB confirmed in a press release issued Wednesday (August 7) night.
Rocky allured the 13-year-old victim with marriage proposal and took her to Demra, with help of some anonymous aides, said the girl's father Raja Mia.
In the press release, RAB said Rocky was a tutor of the girl. He raped her after confining her in several houses in Dhaka.
The victim's mother, as a plaintiff, filed a case against the detainee, it added.
