President wants better ties with Canada
Bangladesh and Canada are actually enjoying exceptional ties now and the countries are receiving closer.
President Abdul Hamid said this when Dr Khalilur Rahman, newly appointed Bangladesh excessive commissioner to Canada, met with him at Bangabhaban on Saturday.
Mentioning Canada among the key development partners and major export places of Bangladesh, the president suggested the new high commissioner to work on deepening bilateral ties, including increasing trade and expenditure.
He also instructed Dr Khalilur to create all possible work to guarantee the welfare of expatriate Bangladeshis moving into Canada, President's Press Secretary Joynal Abedin told the reporters.
