Nazia Andaleeb Preema, a prolific visual artist of Bangladesh, recently participated 1st of its kind 'International Action Painting Symposium' in Chalkida, Greece organized by UNESCO.  "To establish humanity and peace in today's world was the purpose of this symposium," shares Preema. 

The artist Preema has started her travel performance (train project) week from 9 July which will end on 16 July 2018, says a press release. During the recent Symposium from 19 to 24 June 2018, her 'Chaos & Scream' live art performance at Chalkida beach grabbed enormous attention to the art enthusiasts and connoisseurs. 

Preema will be representing Bangladesh in Euro train, in Budapest, Prague, Krakow including other European countries. Along with other international performances, artists around the globe in the week long performance, Preema is going to create a context engaging the environment by performing at different spaces, for instance: museums, gardens and institutes. 

Preema's performances will be telecast live through social network. It is to be mentioned that Preema received an honorary award from the host organization in Greece for the unique live art performance. Nazia Andaleeb Preema, most dynamic, prolific and prominent visual artist of Bangladesh, received her Master's in 'Drawing and Painting' from the University of Dhaka in 2000. 

Preema has been dealing with the issues of women's representation in a poetic manner creating metaphorical context on her canvases (Traditional and Digital). Her work has been recognized for her innovative approach, distinct technique and lyrical overtones with unbeatable boldness. 

Presently her canvases and video installation indicate pleasure and celebration of freedom for women, beauty and the act of making a mark, all which is essential to transform a work of art into an idea that lasts forever. 

 Preema is one of the very few artists in Bangladesh who has incorporated new media (performance, video installation and digital art) in Bangladesh art scene since 2003. Her creations span over genres, ranging from traditional to digital, in her pursuit to constantly test her limits, made Preema one of the dynamic and provocative contemporary visual artists of today's generation in the country.
