Polytechnic college student hacked dead
A student of a Polytechnic college in Dhaka was hacked to death by identified miscreants at Harbaid Thana in Gazipur city on early Saturday.
Son of late Samsuddin, the deceased was identified as Imtiaj Uddin Ifti, 20.
Local councilor Md Ahmed Salam said Imtiaj fell asleep when he was watching an under-construction building at night. His mother found the blood-stained body of Imtiaj this morning and started shouting.
Hearing her cry, local people rushed in and informed police.
Being informed, police went to the scene and recovered the body.
Imtiaj might have been killed by assailants anytime at night, Pubail Police Station SI Dider Alam said.
