Policeman put on 2-day remand
A court in Chattogram on Monday placed Siddiqur Rahman, a Traffic Zone Inspector who was arrested with Yaba from city's Agrabad area on Friday, on two-day remand in a case.
Chattogram Metropolitan Magistrate Mehnaz Rahman passed the order following a petition filed by police, UNB reports.
Rasib Khan, sub-inspector of Counter Terrorism Unit sought five-day remand for Siddiqur on Sunday.
On Friday, a team of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) and Counter Terrorism Unit in a joint drive arrested Siddiqur Rahman, (town sub-inspector) from city's Agrabad area and recovered 10,000 Yaba and Tk 80,000 in cash from his possession.
