PM asks to repair faulty bridges countryside
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina directed the authorities concerned to identify faulty bridges-culverts of rail and roads through a survey across the country and also to repair those before the coming monsoon.
She gave the directive at a meeting of the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) in the capital on Tuesday (June 25).
The Prime Minister’s order came following the derailment of Dhaka-bound Upaban Express train from Sylhet on the night of June 23.
Planning Minister M A Mannan told newsmen after the ECNEC meeting.
