Photos of stray dog removal are fake, says DSCC
Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) on Saturday requested the town dwellers to avoid publishing photographs of stray dog removal from metropolis street as they are fake and distorted, reports UNB.
The city corporation raised the matter in a news release.
Some images are floating on social media that show stray dogs being killed and boarded onto vehicles or their bodies are dumped beside the drains, DSCC said.
The dogs are boarded in to the vehicles after making them unconscious by non permanent vaccination during the stray dog removing programme, the release said.
So there is no potential for dumping a sizable number of dogs beside any drain after vaccination, it added.
Moreover, some pictures were published so which seemingly shows that DSCC has killed the stray dogs, DSCC said.
These pictures are completely fake and distorted, DSCC said, and requested the city dwellers never to share them on social media.
