Obtain incentive for 100 films
For the second time because the creation of the film industry in Bangladesh because of coronavirus, zero film has been released in virtually any cinema hall of the united states on Eid. The cinema halls have already been closed since March 18.
Shooting was first also closed till June 4. Consequently, many manufacturers, directors, cinema hall owners and artistes of the market have experienced. The Bangladesh Film Producers and Distributors Association seek government incentives in order to avoid the uncertainty of livelihood. They applied to the Information Ministry on Sunday (June 7) for personal incentives for the damaged manufacturers and hall owners.
KhorshedAlamKhasru, president of the Producers' Association, confirmed the problem saying, "We've asked the government for financial incentives to make 100 films. I likewise wrote in the letter that the influenced manufacturers and hall owners should receive personal assistance."He added, "The industry will be able to change if it gets incentives. The people in the industry will survive in uncertainty in any other case."
The industry has reported a lack of taka 350 crore in the last few weeks. According to Khasru, the letter did not say exactly just how much financial assistance was needed in its request to the ministry.
Earlier, a joint business of all film organizations, had sought incentives for the sector due to coronavirus last month. Because of this, last Tuesday (June 4), the Ministry of Data has released an allocation of Tk 3 crore for distribution among 300 troubled actors, directors and crew.
