Noor Hossain’s mother asks Ranga to offer public apology
Noor Hossain’s mother Mariam Bibi wanted Jatiya Party’s (JP) secretary general Moshiur Rahman Ranga to apologize before the people for terming Noor Hossain a ‘Yaba and Phensedyl addict’.

Noor Hossain’s family staged a sit-in in front of the Jatiya Press Club on Monday (November 11) protesting controversial remarks on the martyr of the anti-Ershad movement in the late 80s.

Mariam Bibi said: “Noor Hossain is not my only son. He is the son of the people. He (Ranga) calls people's son an addict. If he (Noor) was a drug addict, he would not have given his life for the country. I seek justice from people. I seek justice from Allah.”

Asked if she wants to file a case, she said: “I told my son, case should be filed. I’m willing to file a case.”

Earlier on Sunday (November 10), Ranga claimed that Noor Hossain was a ‘yaba’ and ‘Phensedyl’ addict at a discussion in JP’s North branch of metropolitan. Afterwards, an outcry circulated over social networking site.
