HM Ershad's 2nd janaza held at Jatiya Sangsad
The second namaz-e-janaza for Jatiya Party Chairman Hussain Muhammad Ershad was held at the South Plaza of Jatiya Sangsad in the capital on Monday.
His body was taken to there from the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) around 10:15am.
President Abdul Hamid took part in the janaza.
People from all walks of life gathered there since morning to join the janaza.
Later, the former military ruler's body will be taken to his Kakrail party office.
Earlier on Sunday, Ershad's first janaza was held at the Army Central Mosque in Dhaka after Zohr prayers.
Ershad, also the leader of the opposition in parliament, breathed his last around 7:45am the same day at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in the capital.
