No extension of Courtney Walsh’s contract: BCB
There was a speculation in the air that Caribbean legendary pacer Courtney Walsh’s contract might not be extended after World Cup debacle. The rumour has become true at last.

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Tuesday formally disclosed that the two years contract with Walsh has been completed after the 2019 World Cup. Now they are not extending their contract with him. This announcement came a day after BCB parted ways with head coach Steve Rhodes though his contract ran until the ICC World Twenty20 in 2020.

BCB chief executive Nizamuddin Chowdhury said, “After the World Cup we sat and discussed the future of our team management. Even if the supporting staff want to continue, the board has the right to decide while similarly they have an option to decide even if the board wants to keep them.” “We have contracts with most of the coaching staff till this World Cup. We have decided to discontinue our contract with couple of them.”
