New secretaries for EC, Local Govt Division
In a reshuffle in the administration, Technical and Madrasa Education Division Secretary Mohammad Alamgir has been made secretary to the Election Commission (EC) while former EC Secretary Helal Uddin Ahmed has been transferred to the Local Government Division as secretary.
The Public Administration Ministry issued separate circulars on Sunday on the order of transferring four more senior officials.
Chairman (acting secretary) of Land Reform Board Munshi Shahabuddin Ahmed has been made acting secretary of Technical and Madrasa Education Division.
UNB adds : Member (Secretary) of Planning Commission Subir Kishore Chowdhury has been made chairman (secretary) of Bangladesh Energy and Power Research Council (EPRC). EPRC Chairman (Secretary) Shahin Ahmed Chowdhury has been transferred to the Planning Commission as member (secretary).
Besides, acting secretary of Labour and Employment Ministry Ummul Hasna has been made chairman (acting secretary) to the Land Reform Board.
KM Ali Azam, commissioner (additional secretary) of Dhaka Division, is now the acting secretary of Labour and Employment Ministry.
