Nawshaba placed on 2-day remand
A Dhaka court granted two-day remand for actoress Quazi Nawshaba Ahmed in a case filed under the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Act.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Amirul Haider Chowdhury passed the order after Mohammad Rafiqul Islam, inspector of Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit, produced Nawshaba before his court seeking a 10-day fresh remand on Friday (August 10).
Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested her from the city’s Uttara area on Saturday night (August 4).
On August 5, she was placed on a 4-day remand after police produced her before the court with a seven-day remand prayer.
In a Facebook live, Nawshaba claimed that the attackers killed two students and gouged out the eyes of another at Jigatala intersection of the capital while students’ movement for safe roads was underway.
